I recently came across a blueprint that was laminated depicting the 1953 painting options on where to put certain colors on the car. It has a revision date of 7/13/53 in the revision box and is stamped GM. The guy I bought it from said it was given to him by the wife of a guy who used to be a paint shop foreman. How common are these types of prints? Has anyone ever seen such a thing?

I have one labelled "Body Introduction"
with a date that says "Presented March 10, 1953"; it's rendering of the complete car and then an exploded view, listing components. Interestingly, the metal components are called out as "metal". The blue is kinda concentrated in that area, but I believe the "Approved" signature to be that of RJ "Russ" Sanders/- Top

Re: 1953 Blueprint
BoB I have a 54 at my house now doing body repair on the L/F fender. This body is ALL hand laid,in the truck area, fire wall inside floor, and hood it all looks as if a 6 year old kid built it , all cloth. But the doors, truck and soft top lid look press mould. Any one know when they stoped this in 54. It's #808.- Top

Re: I have one labelled "Body Introduction"
Thanks guys for the response. I had to go to the shop to retrieve my print. Loren, mine is labeled as "Paint Instruction". It has a number stamp 3706908 and it appears to be drawn by a R Winggrocki. On the left of the print it is stamped as Chevrolet Motor Division, General Motors Corporation. In the middle of the print are the words Model 2934 convertible (corvette). The print depicts 3 drawings a Right side Front with Convertable top deck lid open a Right side rear with hood open and an expolded cockpit view.- Top
