    C2 Steering

Just discovered on the steering shaft (engine side) a "cream colored" plastic collar male/female unit and then a metal flange. The collar has thread and looks like there is a spring on the shaft and under the plastic collar...It looks as if it's loose........How should it be on?

on the early 67 steering columns through about January (not sure), an O-clip was used. On the second design columns a different type was used that was similar if not identical to the clamps on the tie rod sleeves. Long Island and Dr. Rebuild will have the one you need.
