C1 Fresh Air Hose

I bought fresh air hose components ages ago for this '58. I find that I have two brackets that will bow around the big hose. I have existing mounting holes approximately in line with the generator pulley for one bracket. But, I don't have existing holes for the second bracket.

Possibly early '58s didn't have this second bracket? Part of it has a funny twist - possibly the twist is supposed to be enclosing the heater hoses?

The AIM (101 - 4.00) shows a second bracket, PN 3793?90, somewhere behind the first one, but doesn't pin the location or when it started use.
All advice appreciated.

The second bracket has a funny twist in it because the lower end lands on bump-out in the ineer fender and the twist makes it lay flat on the bump. I will measure the location when I get home tonight and Email you.

John has provided you the answer for the twist. The heater hoses, from 53-62 were mounted with a Y shaped or butterfly shaped spring steel bracket that also screws into the inner fender skirt. The quantity of these Y brackets varied with some model years. The heater hoses did the pass through the fresh air hose retainers. I will defer to early 58 experts with regard to the possible absence of the second retainer. It may be possible, in that 56-57 only used one retainer for the fresh air hose.
