My headliner gets the droops in hot weather, and has a small tear in one corner. Can anyone suggest where I can find a good (i.e., "correct") repro headliner for a '66 coupe in dark green? If there are no good repro's, what are the major differences in repros vs. original?
Al Knoch offers a very nice repro headliner. But, you might want to 'toy' with visiting a local trim shop, if the existing tear is small. Good vinyl trim guys can work wonders with a vinyl repair kit AND using hypodermic needle, strategically inject glue to fix a sagging original headliner. Just might be actually less expensive than the parts & labor to gut the existing trim and replace it. However, if it's really over the hill, well, your course of action is pretty clear....
