car is a 1971 350/270H auto trans/AC. Build date D28.
I have not found a build sheet in the car. Now that I am working the suspension and drive train I have come across some oddities. The axle, side shafts, strut rodes are all heavy duty. ie bolt on U-Joints, strut rods are a lot larger round than replacement. The drive train seams to be original.
Question?
Would it be possible they were building a car with heavy duty drive train and to make delivery replaced the engine with a stock engine? motor and body number match. How can I tell if this drive train was intentional for this car without a build sheet?
Confuses the H??? out of parts suppliers.
