    '57 Headlight Switch Spacer

Getting down to the real nitty-gritty now on my '57, and need some help locating the plastic spacer that mounts between the headlight switch and the back side of the instrument panel. It shows in the A.I.M., but I can't find it in any of the umpteen catalogs I have. Does anyone have a clue as to where I could find one, or have an extra one in your spares collection you'd be willing to part with? Thanks!

    Re: '57 Headlight Switch Spacer

John, I'm missing the spacer behind my light switch. In fact, I don't recall ever knowing anything about one being there (until your question) although I've had the switch out several times. The spacer must be trapezoidal in crossection. Upon real close instection of my light switch knob bezel it is not fiting flush to the dash. That must be the purpose of the spacer. Regards,

There is a keyed U-Shaped piece that mounts between the headlight switch and the dash. The purpose is to maintain the headligt shaft/bezel to remain flush on the dash.
