I have found an original master cylinder for my '64 with power brakes. I am going to have it resleeved by one Apple Hydraulics. I have done brake work before but never with power asist. Is this a straight forward unbolt and rebolt to the power booster? Any potential problems I should be aware of? Any tips would be appreciated. I also have a '72 Olds with a booster problem as the brakes work fine but the pedal doesn't come up like it should (engages the brake light). Is there a good rebuilder out there? I would prefer a Corvette guy as I think they will do better work, having been use to our particular ways, if you know what I mean. Thanks.

Re: '64 Master Cylinder/ Brake Booster
David - here is a brake booster restorer link that I saved from Patrick...my 67's MC is at Apple Hydraulics right now, they say their turnaround is a week, but they are shipping it back Monday whic is one day short of 2 weeks so they must be a little backed up....it was $75 since it was a dual circuit unit, it's $60 for the single cavity. YOur power booster is probably the same since it has dual reservours. If you have them do a complete rebuild they want $195, so I am just having them do the brass sleeving........Craig
