I SEE SEVERAL DIFFERENT TYPES OF "NOS" AC PLUGS FOR SALE. WITH REGARDS TO THE "R" DESIGNATOR, AS WELL AS LETTERING, NUMBERING AND GREEN STRIPES, WHAT DID THE ORIGINAL PLUGS(AND THEIR BOXES)LOOK LIKE FOR A '67 427?

Re: ORIGINAL AC SPARK PLUGS '67 427
The original factory plug was an AC 43N. You can still find that plug today through parts hobbyists and at swap meets. It would come in a 60's or 70's style AC box. The individual boxes and the larger box are dated on the small flaps. The original 43N plug would have 4 equal green rings and would be dated prior to 1975(approximately). I would not recommend running this cold plug in the car but it is always nice to have a set of originals on the shelf. I would suggest running a 44N 45N, R44N, or R45N plug for street use.- Top

Re: use AC R45 XLS plugs
Clem,
Is your R45XLS recommendation for 390/400 HP AND 435HP or one or the other?
