C3 68 orig AIR pump

Want to put some new bearings in my 68's air injector pump. Anyone done this before without sending it to a rebuilder? My service manual is not helpful.

Yes it can be done. I found the bearing locally after taking one out but it wasen't sealed. Some cautions are in order as I used some old yard stuff to pratice on and you don't want to pratice on original parts. Don't let the drum drop to the floor when pressing it out or the vains will break. When pressing out the bearing back up the alumnium case near the bearing or it will be damaged. The drum can be taken apart also but it is not easy.
