    C-3 1968 Brake Master Cylinder Cap/Cover

I am trying to determine if I have the original / correct Brake Master Cylinder Cap/Cover. Obviuosly it does not have the "Mole Track," but what I am trying to determine is the correct embossed writing on the cap, .... and the correct placement. If anyone has a digital picture, ... that would also be helpful.

    Thanks and Happy Holidays,
    Steve

What's lacking in the textual description of MC cap provided in your copy of the 1968-69 NCRS Technical Information Manual And Judging Guide?

"The master cylinder cover is gold-iridite. Shades of green and blue can often be seen on these covers. The twin domes each have their own vents and are not connected by a pressure relief tunnel. SERVICE WITH DELCON PARTS is on one dome and, in 1968 and part of 1969, USE DELCO BRAKE FLUID ONLY, on the other. In later 1969, USE DELCO SAE J 1703 BRAKE FLUID appeared on this side."

      Steve
I have the original master cylinder cap from my early '69 and it is different than the currently available "correct" cap. Jack's decription of the legend on the domes is correct. The right dome just says "USE DELCO BRAKE FLUID", all on one line. The later cap, currently available, says "USE DELCO J1703 BRAKE FLUID" on two lines. I'm sorry that I don't have a digital camera to provide you wiyh a picture.

My original owner 68 still has the fcatory installed brake fluid cap. One end is printed with "USE DELCO BRAKE FLUID SAE J 1703" and the other end is printed "SERVICE WITH DELCO PARTS".
