C2 Accelerator Lever (1966 327 SB)

I need some help to identify the correct accelerator lever to use on my '66 327/300. Most of the parts houses state that the "C" shaped lever is the one to use (also used for big block applications in '66). However, the first edition of the JM states that the "S" shaped lever is the correct one for small block applications. Multiple versions of each shape were apparently used. Can anyone help me determine which lever to use? Thanks.

I think that it's GM #3869750 which is ROUGHLY a "C" shaped bracket.

The lever that I have forms an approximate 120 degree angle (definitely not a "closed C") and consists of three fairly straight sections. There is a stamped rib along the centerline in the center section of the lever. I can send a picture if that will help.

My Corvette parts book (a compilation of GM parts pages for Corvette applications) does not explicitly mention a lever for '66 with 327. According to this book, the part number that you mentioned (3869750) is used for '65 with 396, '66 with H/Per 427, '67 with 3x2 427, and '67 with 327. These applications correspond to the ones used by the parts houses for this lever, however '66 with 327 is also included. Can you shed some light? Thanks.

The parts catalogs are lacking information on this. However, I have other information which indicates that the GM #3869750 was used for BOTH 1966 and 1967 327 applications, in addition to the other applications shown in the parts catalog.
