What qualifies a car as being "documented"? If I know the history of ownership of a car back to 1970, and have photos along the way, but the car is a 1965 and I don't have a protect-o-plate is it still considered documented?

Re: Documentation
Jim,
Documentation these days is liken to lawsuits. The more evidence you have the more likely its true. With Corvettes you need tank sheets, POPs, original dealer invoices,
matching number trannys and engines, you get the picture. Even with a mountain of
evidence there always some doubt.

Re: Documentation
Documentation is a looseley used word in the Corvette hobby. As an example a selling dealer or individual sometimes uses it when they have a title or two and an owners manual. A collector may use it when lots of factory/dealer documentation exists. Then we can only imagine what is in between and every scenaro has been used at one time or another.- Top
