I am replacing a service pump on a 58 originally with a #4445. I am installing a rebuilt original #4656 (due to cost and hassle of obtaining a #4445). Since I do not have the original frame line to pump flex hose and fittings, my question is were the flex lines the same (ie length and fittings) between the two pumps? Also I saw that CC sells a 45degree fitting for the "in" port of the pump. Would a 90 degree do? I am looking for functional replacement on this hose for the time being. The service pump was running too high a pressure that's why it is getting replaced. Could anyone tell me the length of the hose and the size/thread of the male and female ends? That way I could probably get these parts at a local source. Thanks in advance.

I don't have all my references handy, but the original hose assembly was still available from GM a few years ago (3735951); if it's been discontinued since, it's probably still available from NAPA (Weatherhead made it), and Paragon also has it. If memory serves me, the pump end was 1/4" NPT male where it connected to the female end of the 45-degree elbow on the fuel pump, and the other end had an SAE flare fitting where it connected to the fitting on the tank-to-pump line.- Top
