What is the correct speedo cable length & color for a 1966 Coupe 327/350 4/sp? Also, any vendors recommended for a replacement would be appreciated. I removed my cable which looks like it should be replaced and I'm in the process of removing the speedo and either repairing it or replacing it. The odometer went out. I have a replacement speedo. Is there any special things I should look for when removing dash or any good literature I can reference before tackling this for the first time. Thanks in advance....

The speedometer cable for your car originally had a black plastic outer housing. As far as length goes and the correct cable part number, I'm not certain. These speedo cable applications can be real tricky and GM parts information is "ambiguous", to say the least. However, I know a guy that has it figured out. He goes by the name of Dr. Rebuild. He'll sell you a genuine Delco cable of the correct length for your application at a very reasonable cost. His part number for the cable you need is 9750124.In Appreciation of John Hinckley -
