A discussion thread on jack codes piqued my curiosity and provided an opportunity for me to use my new Corvette Restorer CD-Rom encyclopedia, searching on "jacks." What I learned was limited but by supplementing this with a browse through the judging manuals I learned that knowledge of jacks, their manufacturers and date codes is rather complete with the exception of the manufacturer for what I call late model C3s…1979-82!
Anyone know who manufacturered the late model jacks?
Could you find a stamp on your jack to tell who made it? I checked the TIMG and it is not in the #3 edition. An E-Mail to Brian P. the team leader may be the best way to find out.
