What are they for a 1979? And where might these units be purchased?

Re: C3 (1979) Spicer U-Joint Part Numbers?
Paul-----
The original-style Spicer u-joints are no longer available through GM. I would suggest contacting a Spicer Drivetrain retailer and obtaining a set of current Spicer u-joints which are similar to the originals.
Original u-joints used on your car used no grease fittings. Currently, I believe that the Spicer joints with grease fittings otherwise look the most like the originals. The "Lubed-For-Life" type, which have no grease fittings, are now, I think, configured differently than the originals. But, your best bet is to check with the dealer and look at both types. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Thanks Joe. I understand the part numbers for the C3s changed recently. And that was the crux of my question. Interestingly the best source of Spicers now seems to be heavy truck dealers such as Mack. They seem to have the numbers and the sources.- Top

The original part numbers for your car were as follows:
driveshaft-----GM #390133
half-shaft-----GM #374246
I don't think you'll easily find any of the above-referenced, though. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
