Two questions concerning this item.
1. The car was recently judged and pentalized for having a knot plug in the plywood. According to the NCRS Fourth Edition 1958-60 Corvette Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide on page 27 it states, "The apare tire cover is made of construction grade 3/8" plywood, normally not showing knot repair plugs....." Based upon this description in the guide I don't believe the car should have received a deduction. Do you have any experience with this item or do you have an opinion on the subject?
2. I have purchased another restored board and in the same guide it states that the jacking instruction label is glued to the top right side. This is a different location for the label compared to the one currently in the car? The one in the car now is close to the rear bumper and on the right/passenger side of the car. I didn't receive any deduction or comments about the location of the current label. Which is it? Forward on the board/closer to the front bumper and passenger side or back on the board/closer to the rear bumper and passenger side.
Thanks for your help!
