    C1 Steering Wheel Spoke Orientation

With the front wheels in the straight ahead position, where are the spokes of the steering wheel positioned? The old wheel had them at 9, 2, and 5 o'clock, even though the hash mark on the hub was at 12 (closer to 1 really). I don't believe that is right. Pretty sure the wheel had not previously been separated from the hub.

I've removed the wheel from the hub. I know it has to go back together so that the pegs on the hub connect with the turn signal mechanism. I can orient the wheel so that the spokes are at any position. Should they be at:

    /

    |
    10, 2, and 6?

    or

    |

    /
    12, 4, and 8?

As is typical with C1 steering wheels, the plastic on the outer rim is cracked where one of the spokes meets the outside rim. Probably from stress put on it when getting into and out of the car. Where would be a good position to place this cracked portion?

As per the AIM, they go in the 10-2-6 position, with a +/- 3?* variation allowable. Your two pegs for the cancel cam need to go on the left side with the pegs lining up verticaly with the wheels straight. This puts them at something like 8-10.
As to the spoke crack, I have mine so that the weakest spoke is at the 10 position. Seems like there is less stress there. Might be just as good at 6, but I think the 2 position is most likely to come under more stress.

Chris 101/2-21/2? and 6= I would put the crack at 6 so that any one looking in from the front wont see it as easly. If one spoke is at 6 wheels straight ahead, your correct.
