Vacuum Advance

Vacuum Advance part # 1115357 used on distributor # 1111076 for a base 250HP 1965 has been discontinued. What would be the correct replacement vacuum advance?

I'm afraid that when GM #1115357 was discontinued, that was the "end-of-the-line" for this part; there is no GM supercession.

However, I believe that an aftermarket equivalent is available in the Standard Auto Parts, NAPA, Echlin, or Borg-Warner brands. As a matter of fact, all of the remaining vacuum controls still available from GM are currently of aftermarket manufacture, but packaged in Delco boxes. So, even if this piece was still available from GM it would be the same thing that you can otherwise purchase.

The aftermarket vacuum controls are configured slightly differently than the GM/Delco originals. For one thing, they lack the stamped "numbers" on the bracket. However, they are fully functional and will SERVICE your application perfectly. Only an experienced judge will be the wiser.

Ray - you may want to check at LI Corvette...they have some that are reproductions with the stampings as well...Craig
