Anniversary Book inaccuracies?

Recieved the Anniversary Book(Leffingwell) for Xmas and could not believe what I consider to be inaccuracies-am I wrong? page 133..For 1959 Chevrolet painted the headlight frames.......page 142...This basic instrument configuration appeared first in Jan. 1953.......page 90-91...For 1958, Chevrolet gave the Corvette....
The book appears to be littered with a few questionable statements-Anyone else see this??

I too received the book for Christmas and I've run across some questionable items but overall I'm pleased with it. I'm working my way through it. It's big and heavy. A must for a reinforced coffee table. I am a little surprised by the extensive use of photos of customized Vettes (mag wheels, extra flag emblems, etc. )

My personal favorite, among many, is

the photo on page 177 and the caption that informs us that the '63 had "disc brakes"........

Also, the '67 A/C coupe featured on the cover is noted in the text as a 435hp car, rather than a 400hp car. Overall, it's an enjoyable read with good photos.

Not to mention......

the 396 car with chrome valve covers and air cleaner. You would think with all the correct 396 cars out there, he could have used one. I've seen the same "chrome" car used in other cheesy Vette books also. I also noticed that the paper stock is of medium grade, and some of the photos are fuzzy.

A really nice book I received is "Can-Am" by Pete Lyons. Excellent writing and photos.
