1984 Coolant Temp Sensor

I have started to do some engine work on my son's '84 Z51. We pulled the intake manifold off and find what appears to be the Coolant Temperature Sensor, part of the emissions control system, is broken. There is a plastic hose fitting that was cracked and is now broken off. My parts book says it is 3.682 25036092. I tried GMparts Direct and some of the Corvette parts houses and do not find this part listed. My question is this part still available? I do notice a similiar number available for the 1982 engine. Any help would be appreciated.

Your year is a bit outside the general expertise (not to say someone with experience with the C4s here wouldn't know) of this forum. I suggest you post the question at the Corvetteforum's ( http://www.corvetteforum.com ) C4 section. No doubt you'll get a flood of response there.

GM #25036092 was discontinued and replaced by GM #10045847. The latter piece is still available for a GM list price of about $40.

The replacements generally come with a new pigtail and connector to replace the old type. They had much problem with them.
