    Horns

Does anyone know where I can buy a new Delco Remy Klaxon Horn "A" Note # D1935
Gr. 2.810 Part # 1892163? I have the "F" Note know and would need the "A" note.

    Thanks,

    Jerry

        Jerry -

The correct horns for a '63 are 9000455 (low-note) and 9000456 (high-note). The (long-discontinued) horns shown in the parts book are "service replacements", not the same as the original horns.

Numbers even 2-4-6-8-0 are right side parts and odd 1-3-5-7-9 left side parts

                Current Delco/Delphi crap

Delco sold metal replacement A and F horns until last year. Now they sell only these funky plastic horns that look like they go on a Saab or something designed by the French.

The decent looking replacement horns are no longer available from Delco.

Has anyone tried to rebuild an old horn. I have one of my originals. When you shake it sounds like alot of loose rust is floating around inside. It doesn't work.

The 53-4 Chev pass car horns also work GREAT! They are 6volt--------------and LOUD!!!!
