I need one for my 70. It is a non tilt wheel. Where can I find one. Is this switch compatible with any other years or do I need one just for a 70.

Re: Key warning buzzer switch *TL*
In the Summer 2002 issue of The Corvette Restorer is a story by Gary Schisler on this very subject - page 40. The non-tilt key buzzer (part #7804414) was available at your friendly Chevrolet Goodparts dealer as of May 2002.

Re: Key warning buzzer switch
There are several variations on this switch; (T/T column, Tilt only column, and fixed column). The T/T column switch is long discontinued and pretty tough to come by. You shouldn't have a problem finding the ordinary fixed column one from Chevy or from various Corvette parts catalog houses.
The buzzer system typically failes by sunlight beating on the column over the years, 'cooking' the plastic housing of the switch and it breaks. But, it IS possible for the switch to be intact with the plastic actuator of the lock cylinder either worn (not making full extention against the switch or being dirty and not consistently retracting when the key is removed).- Top
