    '64 Steering Column Rebuild

I'm getting ready to rebuild my 1964 steering column and have a question. The shop manual for the 1964 Corvette is a suppliment of the 1963 manual. In the rebuild procedure for the '63 it states that there is a set screw adjustment for setting the gap between the steering wheel hub and directional signal housing. On my '64 directional signal housing there is no set screw in the indentation location that is descibed in the manual. Does this mean that the set screw adjustment was for 1963 only or am I missing the set screw? I have looked in many vendor catalogs and they make no mention of this set screw for any of the C2 years. I sure would apreciate it if someone could give me a correct answer on this. I also checked my dad's original '65 Corvette and it has the set screw location indentation opening but no screw.

    Best Regards,

Use the '65 supplement and I think you will be ok. I believe '63 was the only one to use that setup

If you have a Long Island Corvette Catalog they have a good diagram of all the mid year steering columns. 63 is a one year only setup.
