Removed the front harness which goes from the junction panel to front lighting assemblies. I did a complete electrical test and continuity/common grounds/etc tested out perfectly. My link provides a picture of the harness out of the car with four items annotated:
Item #1 - (COOLING FAN). The lead going to the cooling fan motor (RED/BLACK)was cut by the previous owner and then direct wired to a hot lead without any relays. As I understand this wire, it should connect to a relay which is fused? I do not have any of this in the car so I don't know what/how/where this relay should be connected or affixed to panels or whatever. I think the configuration is unique on the 84 and my driver 90 is not of any help here. I am guessing but think the next item is related to this fan wiring/relay.
Item #2 - (Two Cut Wires). These two wires (a DARK BLUE and a DARK GREEN/WHITE) are cut very near the junction box. Suspect they were connected to fan relay also? If so, then does the fan relay have the above wire and these two wires attached. A picture would be worth a thousand words to me! And, the in-line fuse link--where should it be?
Item #3 - (LH Horn Connection). The LH HORN clip wire and a separate "looks like make-shift inline fuse wire" are secured to a single independent plastic connector which then attaches to a common feed wire to both horns. Problem here is, what should this fused portion really look like and where does it go?
Item #4 - (LH Frt Turn Signal Cut Wire?). I am not convinced that this loom with a single wire in it is even suppose to be on the car. When harness was in the car this loom ran about halfway back to the firewall on the left side and was cut and not attached to anything?
Contact me dpswmb@peoplepc.com if additional photos will help and maybe we can keep replies from getting too long on the board this way?
