Hello everyone, Can anyone tell me how I might can my hands on a judging guide (just the same as the judges use) to make some pre-determinations as to how my car might judge? Does NCRS make this kind of thing available to its membership? TIA Tony

Re: Standard deductions for judging
Tony,
If you want a manual, the Technical Information Manual and Judging Guidelines for your year car is available from the NCRS office in Cincinnati, The other manual that you should purchase is the NCRS Judging Reference Manual, this lists all the NCRS awards and also gives the Standard Deductions for certain parts on the car as batteries, glass etc.
It does not give specific point assignments for each item judged. Those are on the judging sheets and if you want a copy of the sheets for your year car, contact the National Judging Chairman and he'll send you a set of sheets for your car.

Re: Standard deductions for judging
From questions asked, looks like you may not be an NCRS member. If so, consider joining the club when you call the membership and merchandise center in Cincinnati (513) 385-8526. Folks there can make the process painless (few questions and charge card over the phone for a measly $30/year). You'll get a slew of publications that's speak to many of the questions you raise (who's who, what's available) and get automatic discounts to books, manuals, Etc. as well as the ability to send/receive ads for cars, parts, info in our Driveline magazine.- Top
