I took the instrument cluster in my '60 apart to get at my non-working odometer and speedometer. When disassembling the speedo, the spring mechanism for holding the needle at 0 got away from me, and now I'm not sure how many 'turns' to give it for the correct compression on the spring. The odometer is now working -- is there any hope for the speedo, or is it time to call in an expert?
Also - found an intake manifold for my original 283, but can't decipher the date code - H197. Any knowledge of this out there?
