    69 shock washer

looking through the ass/man , it stated that the lower cupped washer is to face inboard. It seems the washer should cradle the rubber grommet, similar to a stabilizer washer. Am i correct? an example would be nut, special cupped washer , radius towards the rubber{ as shown .
2ND ? is there a lockwasher to be used.

The way the manual states it sounds as if the washer radius should be placed the opposite way around }then rubber
sounds like a simplton ? but correct knowledge has me wondering which way is correct.

The cupped washer inboard is the right way.

If you consider the purpose of the cup shaped washer is not to contain the rubber of the bushing, but rather to avoid metal to metal contact the installation makes more sense.
