C3 69 Shocks

I am going to have my 69 flight judged. I would like to put the most correct AC Delco shocks available on it realizing NOS ones are probably not worth the money for the point gain. What ones are recommended and where can I buy them?
I know I will have to paint them gray as the originals were.

Yes, the AC-Delco replacement shocks are definitely the way to go. I prefer the Reactec shocks of Delco #560-50 and 560-51. Both the Reactecs as well as the current OEM replacement Delco shocks are externally configured the same, but the Reactecs will perform better. Paint either the Reactecs or the OEM replacements shock absorber gray, and you'll have a shock that will be very close to the originals in term of external configuration, save, of course, for "numbers" and "dates".

In my opinion, anyone that would pay big $$$ for NOS shocks is nuts. Period.

By the way, some of the Chevrolet passenger car reproduction parts sources are now selling reproduction shocks for certain non-Corvette passenger cars. Some are even spiral-type. So, now that the manufacturing sources are apparently in place, I expect that Corvette reproduction shocks won't be too far behind. Not that it really matters much; the shocks I described above are just about all one needs.
