Installing new dash wiring harness in C3 (1975) w/automatic trans. New harness has 4 wires labeled in Chilton as "Starter Interrupt Relay" wires #218,219?,6, and 38 or 39b. Instruction sheet list harness for 74-76 and instructs you to remove old connector and reuse. There is no old connecter to reuse or these 4 wires in the old harness. Any ideas outthere?

Re: Wiring Harness C3
Should not try to work from memory, thats why they have manuals. The wires are as follows: #6-Purple, #218-Dark green, 39J-Pink, and 219B-Lt green double black stripe. Any thoughts, comments, or "your in a lot of trouble" remarks would be helpful. This question has stumped every ol' GM techy I can find.- Top

Re: Wiring Harness C3
The wires were used for the starter interlock relay in 1974 but in 75 they changed to not needing your seat belt fastened to start the Corvette and this is the root of the problem. The diagram I have shows the wires on a 75.Lyle

Re: Wiring Harness C3
Kelly See if you have a starter interlock overide relay it would be on the right hand fire wall near the top above the heater core and it has an orange base. I see it on an early 75 I have pictures of and check out the wires.Lyle
