Yes, you don't need to expend any effort looking for a "tank sticker" for 1966 and older Corvettes-----there was never one put there to begin with. Some very early 67s might not have gotten one, either.
You still may find a copy of the "build sheet" (which is what the tank stickers were) tucked up under the dash, under the carpet, or elsewhere in the car. This assumes, of course, that someone hasn't been there previously and discarded the paper as a miscellaneous piece of trash.
