I just noticed on my 67 convert there is a 1/2" hole in the centre of the flat area between the upper and lower door hinges on the "body side" of the jamb. There is also two small holes,I would say "screw holes" drilled beside the centre 1/2" hole mentioned above. This is exactly the same on the left and right side. Any information or pictures I have show this area as a flat unmolested section. Could this be normal or a modification from sometime in the last 35 years. Any ideas??

The holes are possibly from an alarm system now removed. I put one in mine many years ago in that way. Cant't remember if the larger holes were there and I used them for convenience but they were about 3/8ths when I finished. -

They could possibly be there to accept the power window wire harness guide tube. I don't know off hand what the proper part name is. There was a small tube that guided the wires into the door that, I think, had two mounting screws.Comment

The tube is mounted to the door not the jam.Comment
