    1960 Question

I purchased the rubber seal that attaches to the underside of the hood and forms a seal at the top of the radiator, but I don't know the correct orientation to glue it on the hood. There are ribs on two sides of the seal that I assume go against the hood, but each side of the seal is a different length. Does the long side go up, pointing towards the firewall end of the hood? Or vice versa?

    Joe,
You are correct, the two sides that have the ribs go against the hood and the open direction of the "V" faces to the rear of the hood.

There is a long side of the V and a short side of the V. Which side goes up and which side goes down?

        Re: 1960 Question

        Joe,
I am awahy from my car today so I can't refresh my memory, but if memory servs me right the two legl are different. One leg is just straight and the other is comprised of two angles forming kind of a dogleg. The dogleg side goes against the hood and is butted up against the ledge of the hood. drop me an Email at home tonight if that does not make sense and I will take a pic of it and send it to you.

        Regards, John McGraw
