I'm restoring a 69 vette and have replaced the rear wirring harness with a new unit from Eagle Wire. How do you attach the fiber optic ends to the fiber optic lens ? The ends have little brass ends but they don't fit in the holes? Anyone have a solution or am I missing something?
Thanx Mark
The brass ferrules on the end of the fiber optic cables should lightly "snap" into the orifice in the bottom of the fiber optic lens. If they don't, then I would expect that either the lense orifices are worn or the ferrules used on the reproduction cables are the wrong size. You can use black electrical tape to secure the cable ends to the rear of the lenses. Of course, if the ferrules are too large to fit into the lense orifices, I don't know what you could do.
