Power Steering for C2

I have a 62,base motor (250hp) power glide and am considering adding powersteering. I'm sure this has been asked before but I could not find it.
I've considered using an older generator with the tach drive and mounting a 55-6 chevy power steering pump or trying to adapt a midyear power steering assembly. I want to keep it a close to original as possible. I've heard there is a kit available but it sounds a little expensive.

Short of adapting a modern rack and pinion type steering system, which requires extensive modification of the steering column, the only option I know of is the "expensive" kit. It hasn't been on the market too long, and I haven't seen any reports as to how well it works.

I believe the only factory PS componets that will fit on a C1 are from the full size 1954 Chevrolet with the optional PS . I would say they would be very rare, but you could see if you could find one.
