He charges more for one of his transmissions than Auto Gear, the company that makes the cases and also imports the gear sets for any Muncie. Although their cases are not original, they would be a good source for internal gears and parts. Here is the link to the Auto Gear website.
I have no argument with any of the above. I also have been rebuilding Muncies for about 35yrs. But I would like to bring this one thought to everyone's attention. I know that MANY of you have copious amounts of income to be able to pay for anything you want to have done to your cars (lets face it, the Corvette hobby has become a rich boys hobby). But for those of us with less financial capability, it would be considerably cheaper to purchase these parts from a source such as Larry Fischer of D and L Transmission and assemble your own "Super" Muncie. For those people who are halfway mechanically inclined and really enjoy doing their own work, Muncies are not a terribly difficult challange. So, I recommend buying the parts and doing this yourself (or get a knowledgeable Muncie buddy to help you). Also, these gears are now available in a wide ratio, M-22 style, gearset. This allows you to have the strength of a "Rockcrusher", but an M-20 ratio.
You can purchase the stronger full gear set and Super case for less than the price of a brand new Richmond Super T-10.
