C1 Getting upper winshield moulding apart?

I have a dent on top of the moulding. How do I get the inner channel out of
    the moulding without damaging it?

    Larry,
On my C1 the "C" stainless steel trim channel clips over the front edge of the windshield steel channel only. In this case the rear of the "C" can be pried with a flat blade away from the steel channel and removed. Possibly your "C" channel grips over both edges of the steel windshield channel. If it does, please tell me for future reference (I should think this arrangement would be very hard to separate). I've been trying to determine if the "C" channel originally cliped over the front only or both sides of the channel. Regards,

      Jim,
Like yours, mine is under the front lip only. I believe that is correct.
Did you just start at one end and work to the other to remove?

        Larry,
Yes, start at one end and move toward the center. Once there, you'll be able to twist it off the rest of the way. I feel a screwdriver blade may be too narrow and ding the s.s. The shortened blade from a dinner knife may be better. Thanks for your answer. Regards,

Jim, just as a matter of confirmation, I too believe it clips over the front only. I had the same situation on the 62 a while back and came to the conclusion that this is the only way it can fit.
