Does anyone have any recomendations who may re-build power steering valves? My GM dealer says new ones are not available anymore. I know you can buy kits, but I am not sure I know how to re-build myself or is the best way to go a re-built one? Any suggestions the best place to purchase? Appreciate any help. Don Z.

Re: C-2 Power Steering
I had to call around town here until I found a mechanic who would rebuild it for me. Dont think its anything to difficult to rebuild one, but didnt want to try it my self it cost me around $120. I think I saw some on ebay for sale around $140 or so seems like they have been coming up on there a lot lately. But I would sure think there ought to be someone in your area who could do it for you if not e-mail me and I could give you the guys number who rebuilt mine.- Top

Don:
Go see your local NAPA dealer. Somewhere around a $100 bucks. Whether your re-build yourself or purchase re-built, make sure you get a new ball stud in the valve assembly. Some rebuild kits do not come with a ball stud. They will be half the price of the ones that do. If your ball stud is egg shaped and you don't replace it, you will have loose steering and it will wander all over the road.
