    CI STEERING COLUMN

I am going to have my steering column rebuilt on my 1961. I was looking in the assembly manual and it list part number 5672872 as the gear assembly number. Mine has 5666151 on the gear assembly and #5665668 on the cover. My car is a early 61, 100451. Would anyone know what my column is for? Thanks for the help, Joe DeLuca #37862

    Re: CI STEERING COLUMN

The part number in the A.I.M. is for the complete assembly as received at St. Louis, which includes the outer jacket, etc.; the numbers you see on the gear are the raw casting numbers for the gearbox and cover - no relation.

      Joe,

I sent mine to CorVette Steering and was delighted with the work Tom Reina did, Both on the Column and the steering box.
