    windage tray studs

I am putting together a 400 small block, and I believe the windage tray studs I have are too short. They only engage the block with 2 turns. The stock main bearing cap bolt is 3 1/4" long, from the bottom of the bolt head. The studs I have( part # 3872718) are 3" long, from the bottom of the bolt head. Are these the correct studs? I don't feel comfortable with only 2 turns of the stud to hold the bottom end together.
    Thanks,
    Paul

    Re: windage tray studs

I just realized my problem. I was originally putting together a 327. The studs I purchased( a few years ago) were for that motor. If I am correct, the studs I need are part # 14087508.

    Thanks,
    Paul

The ARP catalog does list different studs for a 327 and a 400.

GM #14087508 are, indeed, the studs you require for your application.
