Re: starter code
Jack, the last digit is definitely a "7". I pulled this out of my 64 Vet w/ powerglide for a rebuild. The screwhead below the stamping is a philips head, and below "Delco Remy" it says made in Canada. I know it doesn't belong in my 64, but that is not important to me. I am curious which Chevy application it is.
I believe that it is a 1968. Thanks,
George- Top

Re: starter code
The NCRS Corvette Spec guide does not list that number , with a "7", as a Corvette part. But the closest number with a "1" does make it a 1968 327 manual. So you probably have a regular Chevy starter. Let's face it, the numerical odds are that it was a regular pass. car like a Camaro, Chevelle or what ever.- Top
