    Dash restoration

    Who does good gauge restoration? I've used a company called "Clocks By Roger" before and had good results. Are they still around? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

          I would never send him any more work. His price was high, the turnaround time was high and the customer service poor. Just my opinion, and I am sure others do not share this opinion, but I would check the archives for other's comments!

              I just got my 61' guages back from Corvette Specialties of Maryland and I must say, I was quite impressed by the quality, service and price. They actually talked me out of certain work that was unnecessary (for my driver use). Turn-around time was two weeks, and they were outstanding on the phone and e-mail with questions, answere, reccomendations and advice. The estimate given to me up front was right on target too!!! As for the quality, I've bench tested and all is well, and they look awesome!!! Just my $0.02 The clock is on its way to Clockworks and I expect it back next week. Jim

                          I had the original clock from my 69 rebuilt by Roger. After a year it quit working. I asked him about it and he smugly replied that was about how long they would last. I don't recommend him.

                              Roger Scott (no relation to Clocks by Roger) operates Corvette Instrument Servicein Florida. Just got my '65s cluster and glove box door back from him. Almost didn't recognize the beautiful pieces that came back as the same junk I sent him, all for a a very reasonable price (much less than I expected). Recommend him highly.

                                  I had D&M Restorations in South Carolina doe my clock and Ammeter. Mike was attentive and turned them right around for about the going price of the catalogs. They have a website.
