Any suggestions on how to apply the black paint(if that's what the black stuff is)on C2 Mufflers and exhaust? Not sure that I'm into the sloppy "mitted" look. Was thinking about rattle-canning the main under body of the muffler, then go around the edges with a cloth soaked with the same black paint to simulate a smeared-on applcation. The exhaust is off of the car and will be installed after painting. Suggestions?
I'll save you the search - "mitting" of blackout on C2 mufflers is an "urban legend"; it was sprayed, and had lots of runs, as it was sprayed on oily mufflers and pipes.
Thanks for dispelling the myth. I just sprayed the bottom side of the mufflers with semi-flat hi-temp black paint - but in this case with no runs, no drips, no errors.
