I am in the process of installing the windshield on my '63 coupe and I am at the stage of ordering some new molding clips. Per the Shop Manual, figure 17, there are 13 of the type B of the #7 clips that should be installed on the lower frame and 11 of the type A of the #7 clips that should be installed on the upper frame. When I removed the old windshield, I recorded where the clips were installed but they were mixed type A and type B on both the upper and lower frames. (I think that the old windshield was already a replacement windshield itself and that is why they were mixed.) So, my question is, can someone tell me how to distinguish between type A and type B clips?
Also, the Shop Manual does not state the number of the type A and type B #6 clips. I believe that the #6 clips are used for connecting the ends of the moldings together. For the coupe, it does state that the type B is not used. But, it does not state where to place the type A clips. Can someone tell me how many type A, #6 clips are used and where they go? I think that there should be four #6 clips and that they should go at the four corners that the four molding pieces are joined.
Thanks,
Gary
