    69 tripower linkage/throttle shafts

? on the centre carb of tripower setup, the 2 end carb linkages meet . The question is , i could use a picture or excellent discription of correct use of nylon spacers and the special bolt used to hold all. Please advise on correct build up of these spacers
a picture would be very helpfull , or describe as best as one can.
I have several nylon spacers and just wanting correct placement , does rear /firewall linkage go on first with spacer in between then front ect,.,. I have no past experience with this setup and don,t see how it effectively opens the 2 other carbs/ends when centre linkage is opened , it seems to only partially open because it does not stay stationary.

    Kelly,

Just took a look at my setup. The special bolt goes from the inside of slot on the center carb with the self locking nut on the outside. Sequence is as follows. Insert the head of the bolt through the slot in the center carb; then install nylon spacer, then Front linkage, then rear linkage without any spacer, then install the self locking nut and tighten to remove slop but not tight enough to bind linkage. In addition check your email as I sent pictures as well.

Kelly -- the linkage you describe is NOT designed to open the outboard carbs; the vacuum pods are for that. The linkage is for CLOSING the end toilets when you lift the accelerator suddenly, and there is insufficient time for the vacuum to bleed off, as there would be on slow deceleration.

Once you've got the center pivot installed, as Dan describes, there's another procedure for setting the "slack" on the front and rear adjusting rods, while holding the center pivot at a certain position in the long slot; all to ensure there is no binding. I could email you this procedure.
