My 67 seats have a nylon bumper on the seat portion and a metal bumper on the back portion. These bumpers are on the opposite corner of the latch mechanism. They are not adjustable. It sounds like your seats have been assembled incorrectly or something is bent in the support. Both of the seats have the same back angle, in fact they are interchangeable...not left and right in the latch area.

My '67 seats have a metal bumper on the lower cushion portion, and a plastic bumper at the bottom of the seat back; I don't know which arrangment is correct. They were re-covered a couple of years ago before I bought the car, and the A.I.M. shows two different part numbers for the upper and lower "bumper", but I don't know which one is metal and which one is plastic. The A.I.M. shows #3903586 as the one at the bottom of the seat back, and #3832010 for the one on the seat cushion - maybe Joe has the detail on what each one's material is?

John - I'd expect to see the nylon (plastic) bumper on the seat bottom and the metal bumper on the bottom of the seat back, just as you described. Pete
