    c1 rivets

    what is the type size and material of the rivets that hold the lock assembly and support plate and spacer to the door on a 1960? any hints on installing them

    Bill,
    The rivets are a countersunk aluminum rivet. If memory serves me right, they are 3/16" dia. rivet. There are several of the restoration houses that sell the rivets, or you can buy aluminum aircraft rivets if you have a place to get them. They are driven with a flush rivet set in a pneumatic rivet gun and a steel bucking bar held inside the door to buck the shanks.
