Tach face replacement

Can anyone provide details on how to replace a tach face on a 1965 corvette.

I'm in the midst of replacing the tach face and started to get quotes on how many hours it would take to re and re, and I'm getting any where from a half hour job to removing most of the dash.

Replacing the face on the tach is indeed about a half hour to 1 hour job, after you get the tach out of the dash. Removing the IP can be a little more of a task, especially if you have AC. IP R&I can take a couple of hours or more each way the first time you do it, half that time with experience. If it's someone else's car and they are paying you by the hour to do it, it becomes an 8-10 hour job @$60/hr.
