    63 L76 "Correct" Head Bolts

Does anyone know a source of correct double circle head bolts. It seems that the current supply from Long Island and the rest are available, but without the correct head markings.

Also is this really judged ? No mention in the judging manuals.

    Thanks

I believe that the ones that Long Island and others are selling is the last iteration of the bolts before they went to the smaller head size. These have the correct circles, but the wrong manufacturers head marking. The source for original bolts is the local salvage yard. There are millions of these bolts out there on 283, 327, and 350 cid engines. However, you have to accept the use of used bolts. Bolts from a "first-run" engine (i.e. one that the bolts have not been previously removed and re-installed) should be just fine.

Thanks Joe. I'm using the LIC bolts now. The headmark is 6 lines evenly spaced around the head with a little triangle between 2 of the lines.
