I have a small piece of this hose remaining attached to the rubber boot. It appears to be thin walled 3/8" hose similular to hose used for radiator overflow. Does anyone know the lenght this hose should be? Is there any distinct markings on this hose[such as ribs ect.]? Knowing the lenght would make it easier to install. Doesn't look like an easy place to "cut to fit" on the underside of the coupe body.

Re: 64 gas tank fill overflow hose
Sean, the hose has no real ID ( can't see anyway if installed properly) Don't know the correct length. If you buy one from Dr. Rebuild etc. it will be the correct length. Remember the bottom end of it routs through the top of the right rear inner bumper and lays inside same to exit at the bottom.(see assem. manual) The end of the hose has a metal spring in it.- Top

Re: 64 gas tank fill overflow hose
Bob, Thanks for your response, This 64 is an early production [Sept. 30, 1963] AIM shows that the spring in tube was added on or around Oct.13,1963. Experiance has taught me not to trust parts suppliers to give anything but a functional replacement, usually requiring a "cut to fit".- Top
